Java is a object oriented programming language, and it can be used to build applications like web applications, games, desktop applications. Java is used to write embedded codes for machinery automation too.
I will give a few examples like if you know about ovens, Ovens work automatically with time settings and java programming is involved in embed coding. Java can we used in developing games and the core language behind android development is Java.
Java is widely used in building web applications and as back end programming language. Which works as a bridge between browsers and Server. Servlets are server side java programs. It fetches data from database.
There are many more applications areas where Java is widely used. Till in 2020 , java is the leading development platform around the world.
