Apple products are premier quality products, they attract classes not masses.
First iPhone was extremely costly because it was different but now there is a huge competition in the smartphone market but still others charge a fraction of price and Apple iPhone prices always amaze its customers.
And strange part is that high price of Apple products is one of the reason of their huge demand. It’s the status symbol for rich people since ordinary people can’t afford such expensive products. For example – If we compare price of other smartphones then we get an average range of 1k to 50k but Apple iPhone starts at 50k which is the maximum price of most of the smartphone companies. So, it is clear that Apple is for riches only because ordinary people can’t spend that much amount on it.
So, I can say that it’s the brand value which is responsible for Apple products to charge high price. Since, Apple was able to place itself as a “lifestyle brand“, therefore people don’t mind to pay extra to flaunt the brand’s logo. But that doesn’t mean that Apple Products are overpriced junk. Instead, it is possible because of years of loyalty, focus on high-end products and their specialisation in that area.
On the top of that, they constantly work on improving design, interface, functionality and component quality. That’s why they are able to charge high price.
