   If your laptop is not starting even when the light is on after pressing the power button for long then first of all make sure that your laptop is properly charged.

   This happens mainly if there is a problem either in your laptop or your charger. One of these two can cause problem.

   Let me give some troubleshooting steps that can help you:

   • Make sure that your laptop is properly charged and if it is then switch off your laptop and restart it again by holding down your power button for long.
   • Now this problem can arise when your laptop is not properly connected with your mother board. So for this hold your laptop upside down and there you can remove you RAM and clean it and then put it again in its place. Now restart your laptop again
   • The next thing you can do is remove the battery of your laptop and long press the power button and then put the battery again. Now start your laptop again. This might help you

    

   Now if any of the above steps is not working then its important that you should take your laptop for repairment or there may be a problem in your charger which is not able to supply proper amount of electricity. So in this case you have to buy a new charger.
