Find area of triangle whose vertices are(1,-1),(-4,6),(-3,-5). To find the are of the triangle when three vertices are given we use the following method.
Let A(1,-1) B(-4,6) C(-3,-5) be the three points of the triangle.
the area of the triangle =1/2[x(y’-y”)+x'(y”-y)+x”(y-y’)]
here (x,y)=(1,-1),(x’,y’)=(-4,6),(x”,y”)=(-3,-5)
therefore area=24 units
