No, money is not important for happiness I have seen many families were poor yet really happy. Yes money will buy you things which makes you happy, But without money also there are many people who are living really happily.
This is the reason I won’t agree for the statement is money important for happiness.
Example: I will tell you where real time example there is a family who are our neighbors. They do daily labor for their living. even though with insufficient money, leading a pool life but the amount of happiness in their family is tremendous. They do combine dinner together share their happiness, struggles, pains everything. out of all that they draw happiness.

In my opinion money can be a reason for someone’s happiness. But it is not necessary that all the people with money are happy. Happiness has several other dimensions too, Just like the two sides of a coin. For a poor man, money can really make him happy as he will be having many unfulfilled desires due to lack of money. At the same time a lonely man with lot of money may find happiness not in money but in good friendship. Therefore the answer to this questian is money can give happiness to those who are badly in need of it.
