Are you Getting notifications of Google News continuously ? and feeling a bit annoyed of receiving notifications of some unwanted categories,don’t worry you can choose which notifications to appear on your phone or you can completely turn off google news notifications.

Before stopping Google News Notifications completely on your phone,let us see how we can filter them.For example previously if you have followed a specific interest(category of news) ex : sports or fitness and now If you don’t like to receive Google News notifications for such category,instead of completely turning of notifications you can simply exclude that category from your interests.

Steps to customise your Google News Notifications :

open your Google News app — > click on following option at bottom –> at top you will find all the topic you are following in the past — >click on view all and manage option –> and choose a topic to unfollow and click on 3 dots and click unfollow.

To limit the rate of notifications click on your profile pic image and then click on settings and click on notifications and decrease slider as shown in the below image to open settings…

Thus by doing the above steps the notifications from that particular news feed will be stopped,not only by customising you can limit the rate of notifications from the app by clicking on your profile photo at right top corner and then click on settings and followed by notifications option.

Here you will find Low,standard and High.Just adjust the bar somewhere close to low so that you opted to receive less notifications from the Google News app,so some next time the rate of notifications will be decreased and not only this,You will find more notification options to toggle on and off.

How to completely Turn off Google News Notifications:

To complete turn off all notifications just open your phone settings app(Android) and navigate to apps and notifications option and find Google News app,open and click on notifications. Simply turn off the notifications so that you wont receive any notifications from there after.
