      Hello,

As far as I believe that Windows 7 is highly optimized and stable OS. Infact, it is one of the best OS ever Microsoft made. But yeah, over time the system gets slow and we have to refine it. Follow along these steps:

      • Hard Drive: Maybe faulty HDD is causing the issue or your HDD got old. Consider upgrading your PC with a SSD instead of HDD. This will amount to considerably increase in performance.
      • Space Issues: In most cased Windows is installed in drive C. And there are chances it is 75% plus full overtime and due to installation of software or games. Consider cleaning and de-fragmenting it.
      • TEMP files: Delete TEMP files from RUN.
      • Startup Apps: There are few apps that will start running when you boot the system and in most cases they are the cause. Disable not important ones by going into Task Manager > Startup.
      • Heavy software: Running of graphics heavy software can also cause this issue. Have a check on your installed apps in control panel and remove them which you don’t need.
      • Search Indexing: Search Indexing takes a lots of resource of your system. Please turn it off and see.
      • Visual Effects: Turn of Visual Effects. Turning off will have some affect on animations but you’ll experience seamless performance. Why don’t you give this a try?

If, in case above methods didn’t work for you. You can always re-install it. Re-isntalling will renew your Windows and will work fast.

Thanks! If any problem, feel free to comment out.

There are actually many ways to boost your PC, Running Windows 7! Some of them include :

      • Clear Recycle Bin : If you have deleted many files in your PC, All of them would end up in Recycle Bin which could take a lot of space. It’s better to clear them permanently.

      • Reduce Windows Animations : To disable unnecessary Windows animations, Go to :

      •  Control Panel > Ease Of Access > Ease Of Access Center > Use The Computer Without A Display > Turn Of All Unnecessary Animations

      • Change Windows Theme : To change windows theme just right click on the home screen > Personalise. Changing your Windows 7 theme to a basic theme can help in improving the performance

      • Adjust For Best Performance : To choose this option, Go to Control Panel> System And Security> System> Advanced System Settings> Performance> Adjust For Best Performance. Choosing this option can help your PC run faster.

      • Using Run Program : To open Run program use the shortcut, Windows key + R. Then run the commands “perfetch” and ” %temp%” respectively. Running these commands would open up new Window screens with many junk files. You can clear them up by pressing Control + A and clicking the Delete button.

      • Disk cleanup : To open Disk Cleanup, Click Windows Key> Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Cleanup. Disk cleanup can remove many junk files from your PC. Using this program can free up some space that can help in boosting your system

      • Uninstalling Unwanted Programs : To uninstall unwanted programs, Go to Control panel> Programs> Programs And Features. From there, Uninstall unnecessary softwares which are installed in your system. These unwanted softwares could take up memory as well as storage that could slow down your computer

      • Stopping Programs Running In Your Background :  To stop unnecessary programs, Open the Run Program by pressing Windows Key + R> Type in msconfig. A new window will appear . From there you can uncheck or stop the services and programs which you don’t want to run on your background

      • Disabling Unwanted Services : To Open Services, Click On Windows Key> Right click On Computer> Choose Manage> Computer Management Window will appear. From there choose Services And Applications> Services. Services Window will appear and from there you can disable or temporarily disable some features like Windows Search, Windows Update etc.

That’s it! Hope this answer helped 🙏
