How to change address in Aadhaar Card?

How to change my address in Aadhaar Card? Can it be done online? What are the steps that I need to follow to change my address in aadhaar card via online? Are there any other ways in which I can do this?

    1. Steps to follow to change address in Adhar card: 

      If you already have an Aadhar card and you want to change the place of residence or make any corrections to it, you can submit one of the following documents:

      • Ration card
      • Voter ID
      • Driving license
      • Passport
      • Bank statement/passbook
      • Passbook
      • Government photo ID cards
      • Electricity bill (shouldn’t be older than 3 months)

      To update/change/correct your address on your Adhar Card without proof you must follow the below steps:

      • You can update your adhar using via UIDAI website.
      • You can update your address even if you don’t have proof.
      • Visit uidai.gov.in 
      • Under my adhar tab select update my address online.
      • On the new web page click on the request validation letter.
      • Enter your adhar number, captcha code, and click on OTP.
      • OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, enter it within 10 minutes and click on login.
      • A new tab will open there enter your adhar details and click on send request.
      • You will find some details there.
      • Your address verifier should open the link sent via SMS.
      • Once the link opens OTP will be asked.
      • Once the consent is given you will receive a link from SRN, follow the required steps.
      • Enter the OTP and registered mobile number and log in.
      • Give the consent tick box on the website and click on submit.
      • On the UIDAI website, click on ‘Update Address online’ under the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab.
      • Enter your Aadhaar number/ Virtual ID, captcha code, and click on generate OTP. Enter the OTP and click on login.
      • On the new webpage click on ‘Update Address via Secret Code’. Enter the six-digit secret code received by you and click on ‘proceed’.
      • Points to note
        • Updation of address on the UIDAI website is free of cost.
        • As per the UIDAI website, the turnaround time for updating is 90 days.
