According to Instagram algorithm the more number of common people you follow they will understand the purpose of your page and manually it will reach a greater number of audience.

Here are some tips which will definitely work.
1) Never forget to use hashtag in your post, preferably use hashtags which are trending
2) Post 4-5 posts per day without failure
3) try to post at around 9 in morning, 12 in noon, 5 in evening and 9 at night. It will give you more traffic than other timings.
4) Be creative, unique and original so people follow you as you are different than others
These tips are unique and currently I have like 50 Instagram followers,and I want to create a page instead of my name. I mean like starting a brand and thanks for the tips 😀, I will surely try them . My niche is entertainment so I hope I will quickly get insta followers.
