      R is a programming language and a free software environment for stastistical computing and graphics by the R foundation.

      Applications of R programing are namely:

      • Finance

      • Banking

      • Healthcare

      • Social media

      • Ecommerce

    2. With the advancement of technology, new programming languages are emerging to make our life easier. As you know data is popularly known as the crude oil of the IT industry And is managed by Data Scientists. To manage it, Python and R language is used. It is an open-source programming language that has a massive community. It also provides an environment used for statistical analysis, data visualization, and data science. It is the extension of the S-programming language. It is created by John Chambers at Bell Laboratories in 1976. 

      R Language is mainly used in the real world in several applications like:

      • Finance: It is widely used in the finance sector. The business decision-making process is also supported by this language. Lloyds of London and Bajaj Allianz Insurance are some examples of financial departments that use this language.
      • Social media: R language is also extensively used in social media especially on Facebook and Twitter.  In the case of Facebook, they use this language to predict colleague interaction and update its social media graph. In Twitter, it is used for semantic clustering and also for data visualization.
      • IT Sector: It is used by the software companies for their business intelligence. It is also used for machine learning products. Some of the companies which use R Language are Accenture, IBM, Infosys, Paytm, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro. Also, Mozilla, Microsoft, Foursquare, and Google uses this language.
      • Government Uses: The government of any country uses this language mainly for making any law or governance purpose. It can also be used for some essential purposes like drug regulation, weather forecasting, disaster impact analysis, and much more.

      Other applications of R languages include banking, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.
