   “Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file” is one of the most common errors faced by Windows 10 users while trying to run a setup or program.  This problem can be due to many reasons like corrupted file or shorcut, No location access to the file directory, Blocked by antivirus, etc. Here, I’ll be mentioning some of the ways by which you can easily resolve this issue. Please make sure that you’ve followed every steps mentioned.

   Method 1:

   1. First of all, Go to Start> Settings> Click on Update & Security.
   2. Choose Windows Security and select App & Browser Control.
   3.  The Windows Security window will open. Now click on “Reputation-based protection settings”.
   4. Scroll down and you can see the option Block Apps under Potentially Unwanted App Blocking. Uncheck the option.
   5. Now, Try running the file/setup again. If it isn’t fixed, Try the second method below:

   Method 2:

   1. Go to the directory of the file/setup by right clicking the file and choosing Open File Location.
   2. Right click the file/setup and choose Properties
   3.  Now, Head over to the Security tab and click Advanced
   4. Click on Add and then choose, Select A Principal
   5. Click on Advanced and select Find Now
   6. Now scroll down and click on Everyone. Select Ok.
   7. Now under Basic Permissions, Choose Full Control. Click on Ok, Apply and Ok, Ok.
   8. Try Opening the file now.
