How can I correct my name in aadhar card?

My name is misspelled on the Aadhar card. How can I correct it? can anyone suggest to me what is the process to update or change aadhar card details? where should I visit if I want to update aadhar card offline and also please tell me the online process for updating details in Aadhar card. Thank you

      There are two ways by which you can correct your name in your aadhar card, ie, either by visiting the nearest enrollment center or through online. If you have difficulties going through the online procedures, I suggest you visit your nearby enrollment center. They will charge a minimum of 50Rs and an additional amount as their fees. Here are the detailed steps on How To Correct Your Name In Aadhar Card, either through an enrollment center or by online portal.

      METHOD 1: THROUGH THE ONLINE UPDATE PORTAL

      1. Click this link to visit the UIDAI Website.
      2. Scroll down and click on the option: Update Demographic Data Online, under Update Aadhar.
      3. Click on Proceed To Update Aadhar.
      4. On the next page, Type in your 12 digit Aadhar Number and verify the captcha. Click on Send OTP.
      5. Once you type in the OTP, click on Login.
      6. On the next page, Choose Update Demographics Data.
      7.  Choose Name and then click on Proceed.
      8. Now, Type in your Name (Corrected Name) and provide any one of the listed documents for verification. Make sure to upload a clear copy of the document.
      9. Click on Preview. Preview the details once again, and confirm by OTP verification.
      10. Pay 50 Rs and it’s done. Use the URN code to track the status of the card updation.

      METHOD 2: THROUGH THE NEAREST ENROLLMENT/ UPDATE CENTER

      1. Visit the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre.
      2. Fill the Aadhaar Update Form
      3.  Enter your current mobile number in the form
      4.  Your request will be registered by the executive at the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update center.
      5. Now, you will receive an acknowledgement slip containing the URN.
      6.  You will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 for availing this service.
