Before advertising on Instagram, Make sure you’ve got a business or creator profile. For that go to Account > Settings > Switch To Business Account
So now you’ve got a business profile, Let’s look on how to promote your posts or stories. When you’ve got a post which is receiving an amount of user impressions you can promote it by clicking the promote button. It would ask you to sign in to your Facebook account and to connect your Facebook page. After that, You may choose your requirements. The minimum amount to advertise a post is Rs 80 per day.
After you have promoted a post / story, They’ll send you the impression statistics.

Instagram ads can boost your post and promote it in front of as many people you want depending on your budget.
I am assuming you already have a business account as it great to measure analytics, So after that you can just choose a particular post/story that you would like to promote and bottom right click on promote after that you would have to choose the landing page, where you want your audience to land on the back of this advertisement, once that is selected we can proceed towards choosing an audience,it’s the most important part as it will make or break you ad.
Finally you would have to select a budget and number of days you will like to do this promotion.
Once you have done all this, your ad would be reviewed by instagram it might take upto 24hrs once it is active you will start getting response on your post in the form of likes/comments or message or website traffic anyone of which you would have chosen in earlier steps.
