Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, affectionately called as ‘Balu’ was an Indian musician, music director, film producer, playback singer, actor and dubbing artist who worked predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
He was awarded with Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs by a singer. In his lifetime he has recorded 40k songs. Besides, he was also awarded with civilian awards Padma Shri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2011).

It is believed that he has recorded last song for the upcoming Tamil film Tamizharasan, starring Vijay Antony.
