   Yes, you can repost someone’s post on Instagram without using any other app by taking a screenshot.

   However, you can’t use this method to repost videos. Moreover, make sure to crop the photo after taking screenshot (otherwise it will not look appealing) and then post it after writing caption that you want.

   One more thing, give credit to the person who posted it first by adding “@ + original poster’s name”. 

    

   Alternative ways to repost using third party app –

   • First of all, take permission from the original poster regarding reposting his post.
   • Download repost for Instagram app.
   • Now, open post on instagram that you want to repost and Click on 3 dots.
   • You will get number of options, such as, Share to Facebook, Share to Messenger, Tweet, Copy Share URL, Turn on Post Notifications, Report. Tap on Copy Share URL.
   • Then, open Repost for Instagram and you will find that the post you copied will automatically be shown on the app’s homepage.
   • Open that post and click on the arrow on the righthand side top corner of the post to edit repost icon, the way you want to appear in your post.
   • Then, tap “Repost.” And then click on “Copy to Instagram,” where you can edit the post and add filters as you normally do while sharing a post.
   • Finally, tap “Next.” If you want to use the original post’s caption, then tap on the caption field and press “Paste,”. By doing so, the original caption will appear with a citation which credits the original poster with your reposted photo. And then share post as you regularly do.

    

   You can use other apps such as InstaRepost, DownloadGram, Buffer, etc (But for Buffer you have to pay). Steps will be almost similar in all these apps.
