mine is airtel network and im using 1.5 GB data plan. for past two days i observed my internet data is finished really quickly. I have done whatsapp videos calls with 2 of my friends…is using whatsapp video call consumes a lot of mobile data ?

Yes it does, WhatsApp video call or any video call usually takes up a lot of data,but compared to google hangouts video call, WhatsApp video call consumes less data. In your case WhatsApp video call may used lot of data because you may be on video call for long time.
Usually video calls takes up good amount of internet data, thats the reason your 1.5 GB data is quickly finished. But whatsapp video call is lite only and usually takes small amount of data ,because the video quality is not in HD and it looks like a compressed video call.
So my answer is whatsapp video call takes average amount of mobile data. Make sure if you have used your data for other apps like youtube or any other video streaming apps.
