I just now checked practically by sending one of my Snapchat friends story to another friend.
And there is no such notification sent to my friend and I asked him specifically that whether you got a notification, that I forwarded your Snapchat story to another friend.
So Snapchat won’t tell the other person that you sent their Snapchat story to others. But if you take a screenshot it will notify the other person.
My answer would be no for this, Snapchat notify for tell the other person that you have forwarded the story to others.
But in few unique conditions Snapchat may notify the other person for example, if you are forwarding your Snapchat friends story too many times, in that case Snapchat will ask your friend that person is forwarding your story to others do you really know that person.
So you should be careful that the forwarding isn’t like spam activity.

Snapchat notifies you when someone shares your story. You will receive a notification if someone shares your story with their friends or adds it to their own story.
