App not installed is a common problem android users are facing. This problem can be due to many reasons like app incompatibility, Bugs or malware, Unsigned App, Installation may replace a system app, etc. But still, There are many ways through which you can fix this issue. Here I’ll be giving you 10 of the most effective ways..
1) Disabling Google Play Protect:
Google play protect runs everytime you try to install an application. It makes sure that the installation doesn’t contain any potential risks. So, It may be the reason you aren’t able to install the app.
To disable Google Play Protect:
Open Google Play Store> Menu> Play Protect> Settings> Disable Both The Options
2) Restating Your Device:
Restarting your phone may fix this issue. Some users have posted on the forums stating that restarting their device has worked for them.
3) Resetting Your Device:
Resetting your whole device by factory reset may be a little too much for you. If you have many important contents in your device, Take a safe backup of your device. Try the below methods too and if they didn’t work, Try this one. This method have worked for many.
4) Reset App Preferences:
This method has a good chance to fix your problem. It can reset the whole apps defaults and permissions which also reset the settings of the programs that are blocking the installation.
To reset App Preferences:
Settings> Apps> Options ( Usually found in the top right or at bottom )> Reset App Preferences.
5) Clearing Data Of Package Installer:
Package Installer is the program that installs an app on your device. Clearing data of this app may fix your issue. To do this:
Settings> Apps> System Apps> Package Installer> Choose Force Stop and then Clear Data.
6) Check Your Device Storage:
If you have a very low storage, There is a chance that the app won’t be installed. Check your device storage in settings and make sure you have sufficient storage to install the app.
7) Install From Play Store:
Apps that contains malware or which are incompatible with your device won’t be installed. Make sure that these apps are free from malwares or is compatible with your device.
Try installing the app from play store as your play store have only your-device-compatible and virus free apps.
8) Check If The App Has Any Error Codes:
The apps which are corrupted won’t be installed. Check the reviews and make sure that the app is not corrupted or has any error codes.
9) Install From The Root Directory:
If you have the apk file in your sd card or in any other deeper directory, Move the file to the root directory ( Where you have the Android, DCIM folders ).
This method has worked for many, So why don’t you try it too?
10) Using Apk Editor:
Install Apk editor pro from Google. Open it> Select An Apk File> Choose the apk file> Common Edit> Change the installation location to Internal only.
Also try changing the apk version to a much older version, If the above method didn’t worked.
