Whenever you come across WhatsApp status failed downloding error, the first thing you should check is your internet connection. Ensure that your net connection is strong and if not try connecting to a good wi-fi network. Hope your problem fades away but if not then check the date and time on your phone. If it’s wrong then you need to set it right.
Go to Settings> System > Date & time and set it right. This may resolve your problem. But if this also doesn’t work then, UPDATE WHATSAPP.
Go to Playstore > Update> Install and if this also doesn’t work then move to the next step.
CLEAR CACHE AND DATA
Go to Settings >Apps >Storage >Clear cache and data >Reboot >Open WhatsApp
This problem may also arise due to insufficient storage. Thus, make sure to clear up space on your device.
By doing above trouble shooting steps,now you can download WhatsApp status successfully again.
