In order to keep or set a YouTube video as WhatsApp status, firstly download the particular YouTube video.
Downloading a video from youtube is really easy, just click on share option below the video and you will see copy to clipboard option(this is on mobile youtube app, if you are on desktop directly copy video url).
Now paste the YouTube link at “savefrom.net” site and download the video in MP4 format (mp4 is must,because few others formats are not supported in whatsapp).
That’s the reason many people facing file format not supported error in WhatsApp status.
Once you have the video in your internal storage, open WhatsApp and head over to WhatsApp status and click on plus(+) to add your WhatsApp status.
It asks to choose a video from your phone’s Gallery. Pick the YouTube video we just downloaded. Follow the below image to understand how to upload a YouTube video as WhatsApp status.
As you see in the above image, scroll up to open your gallery and upload the downloaded youtube video. That’s it, now you set youtube video as whatsapp video.
