There is WhatsApp data backup and restore feature which is very easy to use. However, I understand there are certain circumstances in which due to some reason or other we lost the chat and didn’t had backup ready.
Sorry to say but as per my knowledge I don’t think there is any way you can recover your deleted information. If you had backup local or cloud case would have been different. But seeing WhatsApp policy of end to end encryption third party apps won’t even work. If the chat was a week or less old then it was possible but for a year old chat chances are nil.

Well, It’s actually quite difficult to recover old WhatsApp messages if you didn’t backup. It’s because WhatsApp only restores the messages which are backed up previously. You can check whether the backup is set by going to Settings> Chat Backup. If you have already set the backup, You can easily get the deleted messages back by reinstalling the app. If the backup is disabled, Try the following methods. It can’t give you a 100% guarantee but still, There’s a chance!
If these methods doesn’t worked for you, I’m sorry there’s no other way. From now on, Make sure your Backup is turned on so that you won’t face this issue again.
