Which Is Better Windows 7 or Windows 10

I am thinking of switching from my Windows XP to a better Windows Os on my old PC. Which ones better Windows 7 Or Windows 10?

      Hello,

      So, you want to make a switch from Windows XP to 7 or 10 on your old PC. Here, I’ll compare some features and also give my opinion.

      • Start Menu- Start menu on Win 7 is a upgraded version and derived from XP and Vista. It’s simple as it always used to be while Win 10 shakes up things and reintroduces a feature from Windows 8 known as Live Tiles. Some apps in Windows 10 not only can be installed directly as .exe files but also downloaded through a platform known as the Microsoft Store.
      • Features– Windows 10 has a dedicated notification center known as the Action Center. If you’re on Windows 7, notifications typically appear in the taskbar, but Windows 10 steps that up and puts notifications in one clean and concise environment.
      • Support/Security– Windows 7, which only received one major Service Pack update, Microsoft frequently works on significant updates to Windows 10. New features are always making their way into the newer Windows OS. It gets major updates twice a year.
      • Compatibility/Gaming– Windows 7 still does have better app compatibility. While Photoshop, Google Chrome, and other popular applications continue to work on both Windows 10 and Windows 7, some old third-party pieces of software work better on the older OS. Still gaming is charm on Win 7.

      The support for Win 7 has ended a long ago. To be honest it is the awesomest OS ever released by Microsoft. So, seeing from the reasons from security you are better off with Win 10. But as you said you will be installing it to you old PC and keeping in mind that Win 10 is a machine heavy OS and if your PC has SSD then only install it. SO, you better install Windows 7.
