This is very tricky question and most get defeated in this question by telling bad things about themselves.
So here’s the deal, represent your weakness as your strength and reply.
For example,
1) my weakness is I can’t stop work in between. Once I start, I always finish.
2) I’m workaholic that’s my weakness.
3) I forget sleep, food and everything else when I work and get detached from environment.
4) I can’t compromise quality of work so I overdo my work to maintain quality.
You can make such answer as per your choice and which suits your work profile.
This is the favourite question of every recruiter, since they want to check if a candidate has the ability to find loopholes in themselves, because finding flaws is premier to correct something.
How to deal with this question?
The magic formula is that, when you disclose your weaknesses, first of all state that you are working on it otherwise you look careless.
On the top of that, when you admit a weakness, you must articulate it so well that it looks like strength.
Let me share an example –
Suppose you tell the interviewer, ”I can’t say no“.
Now explain its positive, negative sides and steps of improvements –
Loss – I am a person who focuses on productivity but when someone asks me to do something then its difficult for me to say ‘NO’, therefore sometimes productivity may hamper due to this habit.
Positivity – However, because of this habit I am able to maintain healthy relationship with people.
Improvements – To overcome this problem, I politely tell them that, ”I will do it once I complete the task in hand”.
Key points to remember –
