There are 2 simple ways we can unarchive a chat in whatsapp. To find all your archived chats in whastapp, open chat conversations and scroll to bottom. Here you will see archived(number of chats), click on that. Now you will see all archived chats and click on the one you want to unarchive.
Once you choose the chat just press and hold, click on unarchive chat symbol at top. Observe the below image.
This is first method to find and unarchive, second method you can do like, Just search with the name of the chat you want to unarchive. And swipe left to unarchive.

Go to end of your chat list
At the end u will see number of archived contacts
Go to archived contacts and select particular chat that you want to Unarchive
Click on unarchive symbol that you will found on top right corner
