i saw the option archive chat in whatsapp. what does archive chat mean in whatsapp ? is archive means hiding the chat conversation ? if we archive chat in whatsapp, can we unarchive it again? what is the exact meaning of archive chat in whatsapp ?

Archive in WhatsApp app means, we can hide the particular chat conversation by clicking on archive option. When you long press a WhatsApp conversation and opt for archive option. It makes that chat invisible and keeps the conversation in archives.
I will give a example that shows what’s the meaning of Archive chat means in WhatsApp.
As you observe in the above shown image, archived chats on WhatsApp are kept under a option called Archived(4). As i archived 4 chats, there is number 4 in brackets (). Once we long press and select a chat, we can see archive option. When I click on Archive symbol at right top corner, it gets added to archived list at atmost bottom of WhatsApp chat list.
Conclusion : Archive in WhatsApp chat means, hiding a chat conversation from first view of WhatsApp chat contacts list.
