Whatsapp provides us with the option of exporting chats from one device to other as well as we can export the media files too. It provides you with two option one will be with media files and the other will be without media i.e., only chats or texts.
Although whatsapp has a limit and the limit is you can export 10,000 texts if you are also exporting media but if you don’t want to export the media files and only want your text messages to get exported then you can export more than 40,000 texts there will be no issue.
Here are the steps by which you can export your texts :
2. Once you click on those three dots a list option will be shown , at the end of the list click on MORE option.
3. By clicking on the more option it will provide you with choices where you will find your way to export chats. Click on EXPORT CHATS.
4. As mentioned earlier whatsapp gives you option to export chats with or without media so, according to your requirement choose your option. Once you complete third step a pop up will come in your screen which will ask you to either export your chat with media or without it.
As you select your desired option it will direct you to export your chats to your desired place.

yea ,this process is for exporting a whatsapp chat to gmail or drive,thanks for sharing this,but how can i export when i have more than 40000 text messages in a particular whatsapp conversation….

In two ways we can export more than 40,000 messages in WhatsApp. Going by the in app feature of exporting the messages with media is 10,000 and without media it is 40,000. Follow these instructions and try to export more than 40000 messages in any WhatsApp conversation. So, there’s no way of exporting the message by conventional means. I’m going to tell you two methods of doing that.
