I will show you the storage location of Youtube Offline Downlaoded Videos in Phone. Any video downloaded from YouTube will go to the internal storage of the phone. Follow the below storage path to find Offline Youtube videos.
Internal storage/Android/data/com.google.android.youtube/files/Offline/(system generated folder name)/streamsAbove mentioned is the location of the downloaded videos. Infact anything downloaded or cached file of a particular app (not only YT) is saved in internal storage only.
Can we really assess the downloaded video?
No. We can find the downloaded file but can’t shift them elsewhere like on a SD card and share them directly. It won’t be playable anywhere. The downloaded file is specific to your phone only and won’t work elsewhere. This has several benefits, the one obvious benefit is that people can’t copy-paste the video and share it indiscriminately.
The compression, meanwhile, saves space on the disk. For example, the 3-minute long video that we downloaded actually consumed around 40MB data. But when stored on the phone, the video took only around 25mb space. When a user plays the video, it is decrypted in real time. It is possible that only YouTube’s app can do this decryption.
