Select on the images you want to back up to gallery top right corner there is a button showing like this ” : ” with 3 dots click on that there is a option showing you that “back up now” if you click on it then it will be downloaded and get back to your gallery in the folder naming “restored”.
And go back again select the pictures you want to delete from Google photos click on the same 3 dots button on the top right then it will show you the option called ” delete from device “.

I will show you the best and easy way to save google photos to phone gallery. To download google photos to gallery, there are 2 ways . one is through Google Drive and another way is directly downloading from photos.google.com (web browser download method).
First Method Saving Google Photos using Google Drive App :
Method 2 of saving Google Photos to Gallery : This is quite easier to transfer all your google photos to Gallery. If anyone fails in first method, can go with this.
By this your google photos gets downloaded to your mobile Gallery.
