   yes there is a option to export whatsapp chat history,just open your whatsapp chat converstion on your whatsapp contacts,and choose the chat which you want to export,and this is all the chat history if you want to export….

    

   Step by step procedure to whatsapp export chat history :

   • step 1 :click on 3 dots at right top corner.
   • step2 : click on more and then click on export chat option.

   

   • step3 : you will be provided with 2 options now,shall the whatsapp chat history export is with media or without media (if you want media choose with media).
   • step4 : send chat history via …. here you should you a app to export your whatsapp chat,this is what your chat save location,you can choose gmail app and send chat to gmail.
   • step5 : a mail with chat history export will be sent…. in text document format,just click on it in the email and you can read that easily….

   

   as you observe in the above image,i exported a whatsapp chat history,which is full export and with media and the exported chat history format is in .txt,you can directly open the file and read it.
