To set the password on windows 10 laptop, click on the windows symbol at left bottom and click on settings gear icon as shown in below image.
once you click on settings, you will see accounts option, click on account and you will see a list of options. Now here you need to click on sign in options. Observe the below image.
As you see in the above image, click on sign in options to set the password for windows 10 laptop. Click on password and click on add, you will see a form to enter password as shown in the below image.
