   Instagram does have this feature of deleting chat from both ends, so other person cant see the text we sent anymore. To delete full chat from both sides, there are 2 ways actually … we will see one by one now.

   Case 1 : If you want to delete a single text or few texts from conversation :

   • In the above case, if you want to delete a few texts (like if accidentally mistyped something during the chat ) you can simple “unsed” that text by pressing and holding on that text/texts for few seconds.
   • You will see a unsend option like image below click on that and chat text will be delete permanently from both sides.

   

   Case 2 : If you want to delete full chat on instagram from both sides :

   • In this case, if you want to delete entire full chat conversation , only one possible way is there ( if you feel the chat conversation has a serious issue and something not normal or embrassing to you )
   • You may report the chat… in this case,if you report the chat by clicking on the 3 dots at right top corner in instagram DM of the particular person.
   • But you should be mindful why you want to delete the chat from both ends , because reporting chat will delete all your texts from other person. But reporting chat means other person texts are something abnormal (usually in cases of harassing or sexual content or other reasons report option will be useful ).

   For normal texts one may use unsend feature to delete instagram chat from both ends.
